Easy Grass-Fed Meat Recipes that Anyone Can Make | NIKU Farms

Not very confident in your cooking skills? You still have what it takes to make a delicious meal!

It doesn’t take fancy equipment and culinary school to cook up a meal that your entire family will love. All you need is the kitchen basics and some fresh ingredients like local vegetables and pasture-raised meats.

Keep reading to get some ideas on how to cook up some easy dishes that don’t skimp on the flavour!

Chicken Soup

Chicken Noodle Soup is a classic, comforting dish that is super simple to make!

All you need is chicken broth (check out bone broth from our farmers), pasture-raised chicken breast, your favourite style of short noodles, and seasonal vegetables.

Cook your chicken breast until it is just done so it stays tender, then pull the meat apart. Put your broth in a pot on the stove and add the chicken. Chop up your veggies – try local, seasonal vegetables – some good ones to include are celery, carrots, or onions. And then it’s time to add your pasta.

Cook your soup on medium for 10-15 minutes, then simmer on low for a few hours for a warm, flavourful soup!

Bacon Mac and Cheese

Who doesn’t love a gooey mac and cheese? Add bacon to this recipe, and you’ve got an irresistible, tasty recipe.

First, you’ll want to fry up your pasture-raised bacon and cut it into small, bite-sized pieces. Mix up your cheese sauce with shredded cheddar, butter, and milk or cream, then mix in your elbow pasta and bacon.

Spread the macaroni and cheese into a baking dish, and top with breadcrumbs or more shredded cheese for an extra layer of texture, then bake at 400F for about 20 minutes.


Another extremely easy dish to make is hamburgers. Whether you do them on the grill or the stove top, burgers are a dinner classic.

Spaghetti Bolognese

If you’re looking for a quick and easy recipe, there is nothing more comforting than a big plate of spaghetti bolognese.

To make the sauce, all you need is grass-fed ground beef, tomato sauce, tomato paste, onion, minced garlic as well as your herbs and spices like oregano, basil, bay leaves, Italian seasoning or sage. 

Cook your sauce in a pan for about 30 minutes at medium-low heat while you’re cooking your spaghetti, and then enjoy!
